In partnership with Carter Shows and the Elmvale Fall Fair midway pay-one- price bracelets to ride all day are available for Friday October 7 and/or Saturday October 8th @the discounted price of $25.00/day.
$4.00 from the sale of each bracelet will be donated to your child’s school. If interested please send a sealed envelope containing payment in CASH with the following information clearly displayed on the front:
- student’s full name
Student’s teacher’s name
Number of bracelets required for Friday, number of bracelets required for Saturday
Cash only, please.
Final day of sale is Tuesday October 4, 2016
Bracelets will be delivered Wednesday, October 5th to your child’s school.
In anticipation of the celebration of the 150th Birthday of Canada (in 2017) , the Elmvale Fall Fair is sponsoring a Quilt Block Challenge and invite you to participate. Pick up and complete your packet at the locations listed below and enter in the 2016 Fall Fair (by Thursday October 6) . A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each packet, which will be refunded upon entry in the fair.
The quilt block packets are available at Whitfield’s Pharmacy and Knit Witz , of Queen St Elmvale and Tangled Threads , 559 Bay St, Midland, Ontario.
Heartfelt thanks to Annette and Glenda, the staff of Tangles Threads, for the assistance in designs and fabrics for this special project. All blocks become the property of Flos Agricultural Society and will be used to create quilt(s) for Canada’s celebration at our Fair next year.

Floats will be judged and awarded prizes on the following groups
Community service, Churches, Family entries, Fun Groups, Best Themed Floats, Best Antique Tractor, Agricultural Entry.
(school floats will not be judged this day)
Prize Money 1st- $50.00 , 2nd-$35.00, 3rd-$30.00
Antique and Classic cars welcome.
No articles or candies etc to be thrown from the entries. Hand outs only , No extra riders on tractors. Occupants (2 per car) in period costumes , Please.
Decorated bikes, carts, wagons,clowns,horses and nostalgic entries need to be registered at HCES between 11:30 am and 12:00 noon the day of the parade.

The Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Fall Fair is soon upon us. There will be many things to see and do. There will be a school parade Friday October 7, at 12:00 pm and then our mammoth parade on main street Saturday October 8, at 12 noon. The area will be bustling with local businesses and entertainment. We have quilts, homemade crafts, jams , pickles and baking from all ages. Friday will be our Junior Fair which includes a dog show, Junior calf show and our annual baby show. So much to see and do at our annual fall fair.
