In anticipation of the celebration of the 150th Birthday of Canada (in 2017) , the Elmvale Fall Fair is sponsoring a Quilt Block Challenge and invite you to participate. Pick up and complete your packet at the locations listed below and enter in the 2016 Fall Fair (by Thursday October 6) . A fee of $5.00 will be charged for each packet, which will be refunded upon entry in the fair.
The quilt block packets are available at Whitfield’s Pharmacy and Knit Witz , of Queen St Elmvale and Tangled Threads , 559 Bay St, Midland, Ontario.
Heartfelt thanks to Annette and Glenda, the staff of Tangles Threads, for the assistance in designs and fabrics for this special project. All blocks become the property of Flos Agricultural Society and will be used to create quilt(s) for Canada’s celebration at our Fair next year.

The Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Fall Fair is soon upon us. There will be many things to see and do. There will be a school parade Friday October 7, at 12:00 pm and then our mammoth parade on main street Saturday October 8, at 12 noon. The area will be bustling with local businesses and entertainment. We have quilts, homemade crafts, jams , pickles and baking from all ages. Friday will be our Junior Fair which includes a dog show, Junior calf show and our annual baby show. So much to see and do at our annual fall fair.
